Lucas has done nearly every possible thing with Introspect. He's been on crew, a lighting designer, graphic artist, main problem solver, performer in both our mainstage and playwright workshop, and now he'll be adding director to that list. Since Lucas has accomplished so much with not only Introspect, but in theatre in the community, and through various community service endeavors, he was the natural choice when it came to to figuring out our staff for Window Pains. We are positive that Lucas' leadership and talent will drive Window Pains to great success, and can't wait to see the final outcome. more...
This summer Introspect is thrilled to be working with Anna Young, an aspiring playwright from Appleton. Anna has quite the impressive resume and we know that under her direction the Playwright Workshop will be a huge success. We cannot wait for everyone to meet Anna, and think she will be a great addition to the Introspect staff. Here's your first chance to meet our 2013 playwright and co-director and we hope that after reading her interview you'll be as excited as us to work with her as we are. more...

Victoria Kementz has been an amazing asset to Introspect the three years she was a company member. Most notably playing Kelly in How to Save a Life and Chelsea in #ThrowAwayYourTelevision Victoria has always been a truly inspired performer and leader in the company. Victoria always seems to be involved in interesting artistic ventures, and this week she will be appearing in "Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens" which shares stories of individuals who died from AIDS. We are so proud of Victoria for her accomplishments thus far, and wish her all the luck as she graduates this May. more...

Introspect was lucky enough to have Kaley Giles-Bruess as a founding company member back in 2009. Since then she has gone on to do many great things, but today we wanted to share her story for the many aspiring young performers out there. Kaley has never let anyone stop her from pursuing her dreams, and we are so proud of her for going out and making them a a reality. This time of year is full of the hopes and dreams of many, and Kaley is a true example of how hard work and dreaming big are the two key ingredients to achieving your dreams! more...
For the past two summer we have been fortunate enough to have Miss Darcey Hellrood both on staff as a technique instructor and as a featured dancer in our productions. Not only is Darcey a beautiful dancer, but she has such class and determination to follow her dreams she has been a great addition to the company. We are so proud of Darcey and her accomplishments, and if you're in Madison make sure you go check her out in Madison Ballet's "The Nutcracker"! more...

I remember when I was a little girl, and my godfather was fighting in Iraq, and on my Christmas list, the first thing I put was "George to come home," and "world peace."
Even at a young age, I was obsessed with everyone loving one another and getting along. But as I get older, I realize that this is next to impossible. Everything I learn in school, and see on the news, shows me that ignorance and intolerance plagues every country in the world. There is absolutely nothing that can take these things away. more...
This past summer we were so fortunate to our amazing guest artist, Kyle Pingel, work with us designing costumes for #ThrowAwayYourTelevision. We're sure Kyle is going to be a huge player in the world of design, and we're so proud of how much he's accomplishing already! This weekend his designs can be seen in The Northeastern Dance Organization's production of "The Nutcracker". If you're in the Green Bay be sure to check it out. More info available here. more...

Taylor, Jeremy and Mike (pictured left to right in their picture) are not only some of our favorite alumni, but they also are part of a fantastic new band, Griswald. These guys have been a driving force in the Introspect Band the past 4 years; amazing musicians who can always make anyone (even our often stressed Artistic Director, Lindsay) laugh at a moment's notice. We couldn't be more proud and happy for these guys, and can't imagine three better people to have such great new opportunities coming their way. Their EP, Hearsay and Lore, is released December 2nd, and if you happen to be in Madison this weekend you can catch them Friday evening at The Sett at Union South at 9pm. More information can be found at their Facebook page, Griswald (go 'like' them now!), and their EP can be downloaded starting this Sunday at http://www.soundcloud.com/griswaldmusic. more...
Joey Hart has been a Introspect's Stage Manager and go to man for the past 4 years. He has always been a huge asset to the company, always keeping things in order, getting things done while make everyone chuckle. Joey is currently assistant stage managing Gone Missing at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (Nov. 15-17 at 7:30pm), so we thought we'd check in with him and see what he's up to! more...

Hello, my name is Taylor May. I've been part of Introspect, specifically the band, for three of the four years. I wouldn't trade my time with the company for anything in the world.
I've spent the last three summers working so closely with such talented people. Introspect has made me a better performer, but also has made me a better person. It's helped me build confidence in myself, in my performing, and has also helped me see what voices can do when they speak out. more...
In honor of Veterans Day, Introspect would like to feature Brandon Roberts who is currently serving in the US Navy. Brandon danced as Mike in How to Save a Life and as Sam in Scenes From an Italian Restaurant. We couldn't be more proud to have had Brandon dancing with us for two years and are proud that he serves our country. more...

Addy has been a part of Introspect since almost the moment it began. Marcus Newton has been a part of Introspect since 2010 serving as our lighting designer, and asst. director in 2011. Marcus' contributions to Introspect have been extraordinary, and we couldn't be more proud of what he is doing now in college! His work can be seen this weekend at St. Olaf's college as he designed for Sarah Kane's 4:48 Psycosis. more...
Writing and theatre for me go hand in hand. They are the peanut butter and jelly of my existence; the infallible combo that is not the same without the other. What would Art Garfunkel be without Paul Simon's writing? Was Paul ever the same without Art's harmonies? more...

For my entire life, I have had faith in the one thing that has truly made me happy: dance. I, just as many others, bend myself around emotion and speak my mind through the art of dance. That's why, when I was given the opportunity to audition for a new, growing dance company before the summer of 2009, Introspect, I jumped at the chance. Little did I know that my involvement in the company would more...
